Un acero inoxidable resistente al calor con alta resistencia a la oxidación y tiene alta resistencia a temperaturas elevadas. Esto se combina con mejores propiedades de fluencia a temperatura y el acero inoxidable 310 es muy tenaz y dúctil.
El acero inoxidable 310 tiene una buena resistencia a la oxidación y puede usarse en servicio continuo hasta 1140ºC siempre que no haya gases reductores de azufre. Con su alto contenido de cromo, el acero inoxidable 310 ofrece una buena resistencia a la corrosión para aumentar las propiedades a altas temperaturas.
